In the old days, a secured mail address on the website looked like:

Nondisputandum @ nondisputandum |at| nondisputandum.com

But the HTML code looked like:
You can mail Nondisputandumx@xnondisputandum |at| nondisputandum.com <mailto:nondisputandum |at| nondisputandum.com>

x@x: The x is invisible onsite due to the fact that it is colored in white,..
What you cannot see on the white background ;-)

The place where the real @ sign should appear is replaced with:
" |at| "

     | is the vertical bar:  See your keyboard.
On most keyboard, you need to press ALT+ ( | ) to choose this vertical bar.
    @ is replaced by "at"

When one clicks on the "protected" mail address to open it in the mailclient
the following fake address will appear in TO:

     nondisputandum |at| pandora.be

However, when a search robot finds the mail address in the website, it will at best look like:

     Nondisputandumx@xnondisputandum

What is a fully useless mail address ;-)

A better way to protect your mail
without anyone noticing the difference is using a tool that transforms your letters in code.

This is more difficult to be picked-up by search bots.

Use E.-Cloaker from
www.codebrain.com

will look (somehow) like:

<a href="&#109;&#97;&#105;&#108;&#116;&#111;&
#119;&#101;&#98;&#109;&#97;&#115;&#116;&#101
&#114;&#64;&#110;&#111;&#110;&#100;&#105;&#d
115;&#112;&#117;&#116;&#97;&#110;&#100;&#117;
&#109;&#46;&#99;&#111;&#109;">&#119;&#101;&d
#98;&#109;&#97;&#115;&#116;&#101;&#114;&#64;i
&#110;&#111;&#110;&#100;&#105;&#115;&#112;&#
117;&#116;&#97;&#110;&#100;&#117;&#109;&#46;&
#99;&#111;&#109;</a>

This code pasted in your html will show a functional mail address in any browser. The mailaddress will be active an can be hit to open the mailclient.
But even that is not enough anymore.

So now I replace my mail addres by a gif:

The tool that provides these perfect gifs is called
Safe MailTo from XDenser. You can even disturb the gif (or jpeg) with points in the background to keep it hidden, even for the most powerfull bots. Your mailadres will than look like:

One tip: Do not name your gif name@provider.com or whatever your mail address is. That would be silly, right?

And no,.. do not link the gif/jpg to your active mail addres. Bots will find it,... and spam you.

Nondisputandum reviews the best free software

(/)

Sounds good, but for some reason not an option.

The ratings reflect the valor of software & websites for the active internet user, focussing on advanced comfort & a honest policy towards the client. All the reviewed free tools & sites have the potential to compete with commercial software. The few exclusively commercial initiatives reviewed here can not expect above a (4.5/5) rating. Not that they are less than superb but it is considered outstanding to offer superb software for a fair price. It is absolutely superb when one can have it without the obligation to pay for it. I do think it is fair to pay when equivalent free alternatives are unavailable and to donate when free software makes a difference. You will not find software reviewed below a (4/5) rating. The symbol (/) means that the software or website is reviewed but at the time for some reason excluded as a valuable option. Software or websites with a (/) code however have the potential to be selected if only: no nags, no aggressive public relations, no malware, no trackware, no tricks whatsoever, no harmful intentions. Read the disclaimer and enjoy the Nondisputandum project.
