Registry & System

Cleaning a registry? Why should you do that?

Just wait until your computer slows down,.. and no defragmenting, virus- and malwarescanning or any other intervention seems to help.

Clean up that registry and your machine will run as new... in theory!

Take one advice: Manual registry cleaning is not for dummies! So,.. not for you,.. neither for me.

What to do?

In the old days I used - like many - old faithfull Registry Cleaner. A fine piece of freeware! I still have version 4.3 running on one of my older pc’s and it still does a brilliant job. But it’s no longer available.

Download a 30 days (fully functional) trial version of it’s successor (set of 3 tools):
jv 16 PowerTools (4.5/5). (payware - fully functional trial)
This will do the job perfectly and help you boost your system to it’s original potential!
You can also download from the same software developper the 30 days (fully functional) trial version of the stand-alone registry cleaner
RegSupreme(4.5/5) (= Less expensive for a  registered version). It still looks and feels like the old Registry Cleaner,... but does an even better job!

Be aware... always setup the software to make a back-up copy of your registry,... just in case! And use it at your own risk! If you’re not at ease,... do get professional help! They’ll run the same software and ask you more than what it takes to purchase a fully functional version!

These ratings reflect the valor of software & websites for the active internet user focussing on advanced comfort & a honest policy towards the client. All the reviewed free tools & sites have the potential to compete with commercial alikes. The few exclusively commercial initiatives reviewed here can not expect above a 4.5/5 rating. Not that they are less than absolutely superb. It is considered outstanding to offer absolutely superb software for a fair price. It is superb when one can have more than basic technology or information without the obligation to pay for it. I do think it is fair to pay when equivalent free alternatives are unavailable and to donate when free software makes a difference. You will not find any reviews below a 4/5 rating. The symbol (/) means that the software or website is reviewed but at the time for some reason excluded as a valuable option. Software or websites with a (/) code however have the potential to be selected if only: no nags, no aggressive public relations, no malware, no trackware, no tricks whatsoever, no harmful intentions.
